LOOKING AFTER NATURAL STONE
Keep its beauty, naturally.
Simple habits for marble, granite and decorative stone pieces.
Everyday cleaning
Use a soft cloth and a cleaner intended for natural stone. Test unfamiliar products on an inconspicuous area and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Protect marble from acids
Avoid vinegar, lemon-based cleaners and harsh descalers on marble. Wipe spills promptly and use coasters and protective mats.
Seal when appropriate
Ask a qualified installer about sealing for the specific stone, finish and application. Sealing does not make marble immune to etching or staining.
Carvings & handicrafts
Dust intricate surfaces with a soft brush. Avoid abrasive pads, impact and lifting a heavy piece by fragile carved details.
Installation & repairs
Have heavy slabs, screens, pillars and wall panels installed with suitable support. Seek specialist advice for cracks, deep stains or repolishing.
